I actually put the guitars in my shopping carts on their websites to see the total. I said there was no tax on these online companies. The guy takes it back to his manager, comes back and says yeah but there is tax on it. I can buy the same exact guitar BRAND NEW for $879.99 with FREE shipping. So then I show him my price match documents, printed off of Music 123 and the actual Sam Ash website. He finally comes back and tells me that he can cut the tax off and just sell it to be for the flat $879.99 So I'm ok, cool. So I ask, What kind of deal can you give me since this is obviously used? The guy that was helping me out, who was very nice and helpful, said that he had to check with his manager. The guitar in my hand had scratches on the headstock from someone putting new strings on, lots of scratches on the pickguard (someone had taken the plastic off) and a nice little dent on the lower horn. A lot of you guys have probably been to Sam Ash or even GC and seen guitars there on the wall that are a little scuffed, a little used, because people have tried them out in the store. Step 1: Reduce price because it was used. The price tag on the guitar was $879.99 and with tax that comes to around $924 So basically it's about $40 more with tax. I was in Sam Ash because they had the guitar I wanted, in stock, which GC doesn't even carry for some reason. They DO have good deals and they WILL drop their prices even further to make a sale. If you guys are really looking for good deals I suggest you go to Guitar Center.
